Food Blog Search

Looking for a truly special recipe? Why not search the world of food blogs, where thousands of people around the world share their stories, recipes, methods, and photos on their individually crafted websites.
Back in 2006, we introduced a new feature to Simply Recipes, a custom search engine comprised just of food blogs. At the time, we had a few hundred food blogs listed in the search engine. If you haven't noticed, the world of food blogs has exploded over the two years. Brilliant, inspired, beautiful sites keep cropping up every day, as more and more people share their cooking passions on the web. Over the last month alone we've added over a thousand new food blogs to the search engine, and new sites get added every day.
Food Blog Search now has its own website at FoodBlogSearch.com. The site's festive illustrations are the work of the talented Ximena Maier of Lobstersquad.
If you haven't yet tried this wonderful resource, please do a search for your favorite ingredient or dish and see what you find (example: saffron, fig tart, lemon meringue pie).
Note that the search engine uses Google technology, so the pages from the larger, more established sites tend to float to the top of the results. Don't be afraid to dig deeper and page through the results to find recipes from newer blogs.
If you have a website, there is even a search bar widget that you can add to your site.
If you've personalized your Google homepage, you can add a Food Blog Search gadget to your homepage. All you have to do is click on this button:
Many thanks to fellow food bloggers Kalyn and especially Alanna who have helped add hundreds of food blogs to the search engine.
Enjoy!
