Menu For Hope III

Menu For Hope III

For the last two years, food bloggers from around the world have participated in the Menu for Hope Raffle, raising thousands of dollars in 2004 and 2005 for victims of the tsunami of Southeast Asia and the earthquake in Pakistan. This year, for our third Menu for Hope incarnation, we are raising money for The United Nations World Food Programme to help fight hunger and provide emergency relief around the world.

To see all the fabulous prizes that will be raffled off, see the compiled list at Chez Pim, hosted by the lovely Pim, our chief organizer. The ever enchanting Sam of Becks and Posh is highlighting the prizes offered by food bloggers on the West Coast of the US, as well.

For our part, Simply Recipes is promoting two wonderful prizes which Laurel of Mirepoix USA and Jandro of Alejandro & Martin Olive Oils have generously donated for our raffle. Here are the descriptions of the prizes and instructions on how to participate in the Menu for Hope Raffle:

Waaah! I live in Japan, but have a US (Military FPO) address. Would that count as a US address for the purpose of the prizes? It's considered a domestic address, but a customs form does have to be filled out.

Thank you!

Elise: What a great pair of gifts! That's a lot of olive oil and almost too much foie gras (if there is such a thing.)

Thanks so much for your participation in Menu For Hope III.
