Menu for Hope Raffle
Print Options
The redoubtable Pim of Chez Pim has reprised her Menu of Hope with Menu of Hope II Raffle, a food blog raffle to raise money for the earthquake victims of Northern India and Pakistan. I am proud to participate by donating a set of two 8-oz jars of my world famous Apple Butter. If you've never had apple butter before, it is a distinctive spicy apple spread served usually on buttered toast. If you've never made apple butter before, each batch can take hours of cooking and attentive stirring. This particular set of apple butter I'm offering up for the raffle includes a jar from a batch made this summer with gravenstein apples and another jar from a batch made just this last week, from our crop of Granny Smiths.

How does the raffle work? Several food bloggers have donated prizes for the raffle - check out the amazing list here at Pim's. You can pledge a donation at FirstGiving. Each $5 donated will give you one chance (or one virtual raffle ticket) to win a prize of your choosing. State in the 'comment' section of the donation form which prize you would like if your "ticket" is drawn. You can donate more than $5 of course, each $5 will give you one chance at a prize. At the end of the campaign on Dec. 23, we will have a drawing and pick one winner per prize. The results will be announced after Jan. 1.
We are raising money for Unicef. The funds will be earmarked for the earthquake victims in Northern India and Pakistan. No money will pass through our hands. FirstGiving will do the collection and forward all the money raised directly to Unicef.
