We bought this for the cafe I work at, where we used it daily for about 4 dishes a day. And after about a month it stopped working correctly. We were able to get it to work only by placing a weight on the chute. Without the weight it would start and stop rapidly, like a connection was not being made.

We bought a new 12-cup model, also by Cuisinart, but all white, and it's been a DREAM to use. No weight necessary! :)

I can't thank you enough for this service! To get a Stainless Steel Cuisinart for around $150 is AMAZING, and i never would have found it w/o you. i've had my other cuisinart for nearly 15 years, and it still goes strong, this one will go in our vacation home, and if it lasts a third as long, i'll have gotten more than my money's worth.

again. thanks.

Hmm, I'll have to think about it. I do need a food processor after my old one died. Life without one of those OR a blender has made certain recipes impossible. Grrness!

When you purchase this you are also eligible for a rebate for a FREE 3 speed Cuisnart Hand Mixer via the mail. It's a $50 value...an amazing deal on top of the $150 Food Processor!

I bought mine at Costco. It was the 11 cup model and it came with an extra work bowl, along with a few extras. The cost was $150. Since there are only 3 people in my house and I have yet to run into the problem of a needing a larger size work bowl for any dinner parties, it's perfect for my needs.
